How do I add a blockchain network to Metamask?

There are dozens of blockchains that Metamask can interact with. Each blockchain needs to be added manually as a "custom network" before you can see your assets on that chain. There are a few different ways to add custom networks to Metamask.

This article will go over the two primary ways to do this.

**Easiest Method - Via Chainlist**

Link your wallet to Chainlist. You can add a network to Metamask with a couple of clicks through this service. This is the easiest way to add a custom network on Metamask.

**Manual Method**

Follow the steps below to add custom networks manually in the Metamask app itself:

Open Metamask and tap on the menu icon in the top right corner



Tap on Settings



Tap on Networks
