Add a Custom Token to Trust Wallet
Can't see the tokens you just purchased in Trust Wallet? No worry! This article is designed to help newcomers in the DeFi world who have just purchased a token but are not seeing it in their Trust Wallet. This usually occurs because Trust Wallet needs to be informed about the token in order to display it. Think of it like adding a new contact to your phonebook; the wallet needs the token’s details to recognize it.
In the following sections, we will walk you through the straightforward process of importing token data into your Trust Wallet, ensuring you have full visibility of your assets.
Start by opening the Trust Wallet app on your mobile device. If you haven't installed it yet, you can download it from the App Store or Google Play.
If you've set up a password or biometric authentication, you'll need to enter it to access your Trust Wallet.
At the top right corner of the main screen, you will see a "+" (plus) icon. Tap on it.
In the search bar, type the name or symbol of the token you want to add. If it appears in the list, simply toggle the switch to ‘On’ and it will be added to your wallet.
If the token does not appear in the search results, don’t worry. Tap on the “Add Custom Token” button.
Select the blockchain that the token is part of (e.g. Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain).
You will need to input the token's contract address, name, symbol, and decimals. It is essential to get the contract address correct, which you can find on the token’s official website or a blockchain explorer like Etherscan or BscScan.
After entering the details, double-check them for accuracy, and then tap "Save" or "Done" in the top-right corner.
Go back to the main wallet screen, and you should now see the token listed with your other assets.
Congratulations! You've successfully imported token data into your Trust Wallet mobile app. Remember to be vigilant and cautious in the crypto space, always double-check contract addresses, and avoid phishing scams.
